Berbice : The police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred last night where security guards Clarence Carrington, 69 years, of No. 64 Village Corentyne, Berbice and Deodat Sanichar , 64 years, of No. 54 Village, Corentyne were attacked and robbed by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
Police at berbice say Clarence Carrington and Deodat Sanichar were on duty at the No. 54 NDC Office, Corentyne, Berbice when they were confronted by the perpetrators who tied them up and broke into the NDC office and cut open a safe and took away $50,000.00.
