Georgetown : At about 12:10 am today gold miner James Williams and his reputed wife Precious Hunte were at their home at North Ruimveldt Squatting Area, Georgetown, when they were aroused by noise in the house.
Upon checking they were confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun and who discharged a round which struck Precious Hunte to her left ankle. The men then took away a bag containing $400,000.00 and escaped.
Precious Hunte has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital for medical treatment.
