Georgetown: In the wee hours of Tuesday morning bandits robbed and beat the owner of Real Value Supermarket on Church and Thomas Street, Georgetown.
The proprietor 40-year-old Jun Wong was robbed of foreign and local currencies, gold and other valuables after three armed bandits woke him out of his sleep.
Enquiries disclosed that the perpetrators gained access to the building through a door on the eastern side of the building which was unlocked.
They then pounced upon the businessman who was asleep at the time. They assaulted and forced him to unlock a safe containing cash. They then escape by unlocking the buildings’ main southern doors and escaped in a waiting car.
