Barataria man held with $800,000 in cocaine

Barataria: A Barataria man has been held with over $800,000 worth of cocaine.

The 31-year-oldSman was held on saturday as he was disembarking the TNT Express in Scarbrough for possession of over 146 kilograms of cocaine.

He will appear in court later this week.

The disclosure came at the daily police news briefing when Information Officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Sergeant Wayne Mystar assured that a team is continuing their investigations into the fatal shooting of three Santa Cruz men in Chase Village.

Within the last two months at least 16 police officers have gone before the courts, six for the fatal shooting of three persons in Moruga, six for a taser attack on two brothers in Chaguanas last year, and four other officers including one from Tobago was held and charged for a range of offences.
