Bridgetown.
Barbados is not a perfect country despite the island's strenghts, humans beings live here.
This assertion was made last night by Prime Minister Freundel Stuart during the Prime Minister's reception for long term visitors to the island at his official residence Ilaro Court.
"We never claimed to be perfect, all the imperfections carried by countries from across the world can be found here",Stuart said.
The Prime Minister told the visitors and oficials attending the reception, the same things that are happening in other parts of the world could occur in Barbados.
" You should not be surprised when they do because if you subscribe to the Christian faith, you would agree that a serpent was found in the Garden of Eden', he added.
Stuart said that Barbados was not trying to be like any other country, but was continuing to place its own stamp on history's page and on
civilization.
