The Barbados selectors have named an unchanged squad for the final of the 2013 West Indies first-class championship against Trinidad and Tobago starting tomorrow at Kensington Oval. Trinidad & Tobago have recalled discarded West Indies opening batsman Adrian Barath.
The 23-year-old Barath, who hit a century on his Test debut against Australia at Brisbane in November 2009 was dropped for the semi-final match against champions for the past five years, Jamaica, which Trinidad & Tobago won by three wickets on the fourth and final day at Sabina Park last Sunday.
His omission came after six matches in which he had scored 296 runs including three half-centuries, at an average of 26.90.
He scored 54 in a domestic match for Queen's Park against Esmeralda last weekend to earn his recall in place of hard-hitting batsman Kjorn Ottley, who did not play in the semi-finals.
Barbados swept into the final with a resounding win by an innings and 101 runs over the Windward Islands at Windsor Park in Dominica in one day, one session and 21 minutes.
The Trinidad & Tobago team will arrive in Barbados early this morning and will practice at Kensington Oval in the afternoon.
