Georgetown- The police are on the look out for several gangs of teenagers, mostly school drop outs who have adopted a renewed method of robbery. The gangs with the use of bicycles go around robbing pedestrians. The latest attack was on a head teacher of the South Ruimveldt Primary School, who was heading home from a friend's home in Lamaha Gardens over the weekend. The boys according to the teacher stripped her of all her jewelery and stole her handbag. There have been numerous reports at almost every station in the city about young boys on bicycles robbing people. This method was always used by bandits in the past, particularly in the Albouystown area, where they ride up to motorists stopping at traffic lights or in a slow traffic line, snatching chains off people's neck, before vanishing through some isolated track in the community. People walking in residential and other lonely areas in the city will have to be very careful as these bicycle bandits as they are known have increased their activities.
