The money spent to market the Crop Over Festival this year, is the most ever says, Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy.
In the past between $100,000 and $200,000 was spent by the Barbados Tourism Authority(BTA) promoting the festival. this year over $600,000 was spent to promote the festival.
"This is unprecedented , we have never placed that sum of money into marketing the festival before,t as a result of this marketing effort, there are a record number of visitors here for the festival this year", Sealy said.
He was speaking to journalist at the Hilton Hotel.
