For over 3 decades inovators and scientist has been hard at work trying to produce the ideal 3D printer.
Now German Scientist has come up with a 3D printer that may soon be used for transplant of Lab created organs.
A team at the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany will be showing their solution at the Biotechnical Fain in Germany in October. the solution using 3D printing and a technique called multiphoton polymerisation.
For patients to receive these life saving surgeries, global research in tissue engineering have to create artificial tissue and maybe entire organs. Lab made organs can only function if the labs are equieped with artificial blood vessels used to carry nutrients.
This 3D printer can now produce the tiny and extremely complex tubes that our organs naturally possess.
