Berbice. Police in Berbice are investigating the suspected murder of a 12-year old boy of Letter Kenny Village on the Corentyne, whose body was found at about 1:30PM today in a canal at John’s Village,Corentyne.
According to an online media Police spokesman, Ivelaw Whittaker said the child had been reported missing to the police on Wednesday and his body bore marks of violence to the head, feet and hands.
Two men have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
This discovery came no less than 24 hours after the body of 7-year old Saheed Makatnauth of No. 68 Village Squatting Area, Corentyne, was found in an open field at No. 68 Village on Wednesday
The boy according to the release was reported
A post mortem examination was done by Pathologist Dr. Vivekanand Brijmohan who gave the cause of death as a fractured skull.
The child also had a fractured chin and broken right hand.
