Guyana : A half-century from Darren Bravo propped up West Indies batting against England Lions today in their final dress rehearsal before the first Test next week.
Bravo led the way with 51 and Marlon Samuels made 32, but no other batsman reached 20, as West Indies were bowled out for 147 in their first innings on the opening day of the four-day, first-class tour match at Wantage Road.
Fidel Edwards then gave West Indies an early breakthrough, but they failed to make further inroads into the Lions’ batting, as the home team reached 40 for one when bad light stopped play early.
