North West District :The police are investigating a reported robbery under arms that occurred at Five Star Backdam, NWD, where two Brazilian nationals were attacked and robbed and another shot and injured by four men, two of whom were armed with handguns.
The perpetrators entered a mining camp and held up the two Brazilians and took away a quantity of raw gold, a digital camera and a licensed .32 pistol with seven rounds from them.
During the process the men discharged several rounds, hitting Brazilian national Felix De Souza to his shoulder and jaw.
He has been admitted a patient at the Georgetown Hospital.
A team of police investigators was dispatched to the area and during their investigations arrested two men in another mining camp in whose possession 105 grams of cocaine and 1kilogram 350 grams of marijuana were found.
