Breakthrough in double murder

Bridgetown.

Lawmen  confirmed yesterday that there are questioning  two men about the  double murder of Arthur Chaderton, 79 and his son in law Gerhart Stock who were gunned down on August 2.

Assistant Commisssioner, Seymour Cumberbatch, told Trakker News, the police have made significant development in the double murder at Salters in St George.

"We have two men in connection with the incident",Cumberbatch said.

A source told Trakker News that one of the men in police custody is reported to be a deportee from the United States, who has run a foul of the law since his return to Barbados.

He was nabbed early on Monday morning during a sting operation in Christ Church.The slippery man had  eluded two other dragnets, including one in St Michael 24 hours earlier.

The second suspect was held yesterday after a series of intense operations.Detectives also believe that the two men might be responsible for a series of other violent armed robberies across the island.
