East Coast Demerara :The commission of enquiry into the accident at the Enmore Factory on May 15 2011, which resulted in the death of factory worker Jainarine Singh conducted a site visit yesterday, June 14 2011.
The broad based team which will commence its full investigation from Monday June 20, 2011consists of Mr. Dales Beresford – Chairman of the Commission of Inquiry, Mr. Seepaul Narine – General Secretary – GAWU, Mr. Mohamed Ahamad – Rose Hall workers representative, Mr. Deodat Sukhu – Industrial Relations Manager – GuySuCo, Mr. Sharma Dwarka – Factory Operations Manager – GuySuCo
The establishment of this commission is based on a Memorandum of Agreement between GuySuCo and GAWU.
GuySuCo has alerted factory workers of the establishment of the commission who are being encouraged to volunteer and give evidence to the investigating team.
