Jeff Broomes must be removed from the post of principal of the Alexandra School says Mary Ann Redman president of the Barbados Secondary Teacher Union (BSTU).
According to Redman the union is convinced teachers can no longer work with Broomes and accused him of shouting and taking an aggressive stance with those under his rule, as well as to parents and guardians and staff of the Ministry of Education.
Over 30 teachers from the school stayed away from the classroms yesterday, they attended a BST U meeting at its headquarters in at Belleville headquarters.
"Our action today result from years of attemps of trying to resolve that manifest themselves mainly in the managerial style of the principal of the Alexandra School", Redman said.
"We have exhibited patience beyond what is normally possible for any organization or any human being", she added.
