Georgetown : Secretary to the Cabinet Dr Luncheon said that the budget can be expected to be laid before Parliament close to or before the last week in this month. “It’s a week that sees a number of religious holidays …and I’m pretty certain that within the shortest possible time that the Minister of Finance would be announcing the budget date,” he said.
Dr Luncheon speaking at his weekly post cabinet meeting press briefing indicated that budget preparations are on track.
President Donald Ramotar last month, in giving a prelude into some priority areas that government will advance, said the budget is in keeping with the goal of improving the quality of life for every Guyanese.
