Constructors in Barbados would soon have a regulatory body to ensure that building standards are met.
Minister of Housing, Michael Lashley, told Trakker News today that the Ministry of Public Works will establish a Building Standards Authority for the industry soon.
" The quality of the workmanship that we came across after Tomas last year,clearly showed that there is a need for inspectors to check on the material that builders use", said Lashley.
He added that the time is coming when contractors will be require to have a license.
