Businesses in Barbados have been urged to form alliances.
This advice came from Minister of Commerce and Trade, Senator Haynesley Benn, who stated that strong alliances can position businesses to cope with the current economic challenges.
"Strategic alliances have changed the structure and dynamics of competition throughout the world,Benn said.
"Moreover, groups of companies are increasingly competing against other groups, changing the distribution of economic power and nudging more single companies into alliances", he added.
Benn was speaking at the launch of a partnership between Harris Paints and Dutch company Akzo Noble.
