Georgetown : Ganesh Jaigobin is now a patient in a private hospital in Georgetown after being shot today and robbed.
Businessman Ganesh Jaigobin of Anna Regina, Essequibo Coast, was attacked and robbed of a bag containing an undisclosed amount of cash by a man armed with a handgun.
Ganesh Jaigobin was sitting in a parked motor car when he was confronted by the perpetrator who discharged three rounds at him, hitting Ganesh Jaigobin to his left forearm and abdomen. The armed man then took away the bag with the cash and escaped on a waiting motor cycle driven by an accomplice.
