Georgetown: Businessman Randy Jagdeo, 28, who recently turned himself into police custody was charged with murder and placed before Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry today. He was remanded to prison until November 21, 2013.
After eluding police capture for two months, Police Prosecutor Bharrat Mangru said that the accused killed 31-year-old Kurt Davis, of Seventh Street, Eccles, East Bank Demerara, was riddled with bullets on Tuesday, September 5, outside his residence.
It was disclosed in court that the motive for the killing was because the accused saw Davis kissing his wife at a popular hangout spot in the city. This prompted Jagdeo to confront Davis who was shot 11 times. The due were friends.
