Eask Bank Demerara : At about 10pm yesterday, businessman Abdul Quadir Nazir, 26 years, of Canal No.1 Polder, West Bank Demerara (WBD), was in his motor car in front of his residence along with mechanic Mark Crandon, 40 years, of Canal No. 1, when a motor car drove up and a man exited.
The man, who was armed with a firearm, discharged rounds at Abdul Nazir hitting him to his left side and he was taken out of the vehicle.
The armed man was then joined by another man and they drove away the victim’s vehicle, during which Mark Crandon managed to jump out of the vehicle.
The stolen motor car was subsequently recovered intact at Nismes, WBD.
Abdul Nazir has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
