Georgetown: The lifeless body of a popular Rose Hall Corentyne businessman was found on Thursday at a construction site several houses away from his home.
Dead is 49 year old Lomenzo Johnny who resides at Lot 11 East Side Line Dam, Rosehall Town, Corentyne Berbice.
Police said Johnny lives in a two-storey concrete house alone, in a fenced yard situated on the eastern side of the street and is facing west. The house was ransacked but no forced entry seen.
The body was found in a fenced farm area, about 300 meters from his house. Both feet were bound together with shoe laces with marks that suspected that he was strangled seen around the neck with punctured wound above the left eye while his face covered in blood.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
