BWU and LIME locked in wage talks

Bridgetown.

The Barbados Workers'Union and the telecommmunications company LIME were last nigth locked in wage negotiations under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, at Government Headquarters, Bay Street.

  According to a source, the Prime Minister were pressing the two sides to reach an agreement but one of the parties were refusing to change their position.

The union is asking LIME for a 17 percent increase in wages while the company is offering 7.5 percent.
