The Barbados Worker Union (BWU) is giving strong support to the Barbados Secondary Teachers' Union (BSTU) in its campaign to have Jeff Broomes removed as principal of the Alexandra School.
Sir Roy Trotman the general secretary of the BWU yesterday said the Government had to make a a decision as how long they would the chasm between management and the staff at to school to remain.
The veteran trade unionist said his union was aware that there have been festering problems at Alexandra School for several years and that advisers to Broomes had rejected an offer of mediation from himself and Denis Depeiza, general secretary of the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB) at the last minute.
"These problems are now even worse, my solemn judgement is that the relationship is fractured beyond repair",Sir Roy said.
He added that the BWU was pledging its full support to the BSTU
