Georgetown : Cabinet this week has given the green light to several contracts for the Public Works sector.
According to the Secretary to the Cabinet, Dr. Roger Luncheon, $30.18M is awarded for the hire of equipment for Lot Two of the Amaila access road. In region three, the construction of 250M rip-rap sea defence at Cane Garden, Leguan, to the tune of $126.86M.
$468.21M for the expansion of the East Coast road (Better Hope to Montrose)- Phase One-preparatory works.
Meanwhile $46.2M was awarded for construction of roads, drains and structures and installation of pure water distribution networks at Enmore, East Coast Demerara.
