Cabinet in action, six contracts awarded

Georgetown : Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon disclosed that contracts for the areas of agriculture and health for infrastructural development were given no objection by Cabinet at its last meeting earlier this week.

In the Agriculture sector $69.5M were awarded for the Supply, delivery and testing of field equipment for the Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA).

In the Health sector $345.3M for the procurement of drugs and supplies for the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and $19.9M for the procurement of drugs and supplies for the Ministry of Health.

£56, 300 were given the green light for the procurement of law books for the Supreme Court of Judicature.

For infrastructural works $124.3M for the acquisition and supply of spares for motor vessels at the Transport and Harbours Department and $37.1M for the construction of a market tarmac at Kumaka, Mabaruma, North West District.
