The private sector in Barbados has been advised to beef up their security due to a recent increase of violent crime against businessmen on the island.
President of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry, (BCCI) Andy Armstrong told Trackker News that the BCCI has been consistently suggesting to its members to support Crime Stoppers.
"Crime Stoppers have an important role to play in sloving crime and we recommended it to all of our members.The BCCI have also encouraged its members to get advise from security professional to make sure that their homes and businesses are secure", Armstrong said.
He said that the BCCI was already engaging Government and other agencies to see what procedures they could put in place to make businesssmen feel safer.
