Call for Commissioner to investigate offficers

Bridgetown.

Chairman of the SAVE Foundation Liesel Daisley is calling on the Acting Commissioner of Police Tyrone Griffith, to launch an investigation into the actions of the officers on duty at Oistins Police Station last Friday when Kemeshia Tull reported that her mother Linda Tull was being attacked by her ex-boyfriend Ryan Atwell.

The body of 45 year old Tull was found in her car which was parked behind the Randall Philips Polyclinic. Reports are that her daughter, Kemeshia Tull tried to get assistance from officers at the nearby Oistins Police station after she was accosted by the accused,  Atwell.

However, Kemeshia alleges that it took a while before officers responded to her pleas for help. Ms. Daisley says the foundation is disappointed in the alleged slow response from the officers to the incident.

She adds that they are getting too many complaints about the response from officers at the Oistins police station, in particular, when it comes to calls about domestic violence.

Daisley also wants the Domestic Violence Act to be debated and passed before next year saying “it has been sitting on their desk for over a year".
