Timehri: Minutes after 1:00am today a Caribbean Airlines plane BW523 crashed while landing onto the Cheddi Jagan International International Airport runway and broke into two. TrakkerNews was informed that there was no fatality but various injuries. The passengers were rushed to the Diamond and Georgetown Public Hospitals while several private hospitals were on alert.
President Bharrat Jagdeo and several ministers of Government visited the scene and had a firsthand look at the situation.
An investigation has been launched into the crash while all flights have been cancelled.
