Caribbean Airlines clear air on narcotics found at CJIA

Georgetown : Caribbean Airlines confirms that on 11th March 2012, Security

Agents at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport in Guyana seized a quantity of

narcotics found within the airport’s perimeter.

Contrary to reports made in the Guyana press, no Caribbean Airlines employees have

been questioned nor detained in connection with this incident.

Several persons found in close proximity of the find, are assisting the Guyana Police

Force and Narcotics Unit in the investigation. Caribbean Airlines can confirm that

amongst these persons, is a mechanic, who is not employed by the airline, but is

attached to a foreign company.
