Recently, Guyanese and non-Guyanese doctors and nurses visited Guyana on their annual mission where they saw hundreds of patients. The team was spearheaded by Dr. James Cort. Visits were carried out in the villages of Mahaic‎a, New Amersterdam, Buxton and Enmore.

Spectacle were distributed after eye examinations were done by the President of the CMM, Jamaican born Dr. Scott and American born Dr. Lane on portable examination equipment that was brought from the United States.  A six year old boy is now able to read properly for the first time as his teacher heard of the doctor’s outreach at the Mahaica hospital and brought him after school.

The Guyanese doctors within the medical mission continue to strive to serve Guyanese by bringing a team of doctors and nurses within various specialties to assist them in covering a vast area of residents.

Each member finances his/her own way on mission trips.

“We have distributed millions of dollars in medication, medical equipment, beds, eyeglasses, computers, books, and clothing to the people of the Caribbean.”
