The 2012 Caribbean Flim Tales Festival starts today with a opening gala at the Frank Collymore Hall this evening.
One of the highlights of the Festival is a bio-documentary of the American singer, actor and civil rights activist Harry Belafonte, produced by his daughter Gina Belafone and directed by Susanne Rostock
Jamaican actress and film producer Esther Anderson, has criticized the organizers of the festival for the exculusion of her 90 minute documentary reggae super star Bob Marley from the Barbados screening.
Anderson told Trakker News, "Although we have been in over 30 flim festivals, won a UNESCO award Best Documentary Award in America , they (the Caribbean Tales Flim Festival organizers) don't want it".
Anne Solomon , the chief executive officer of the Festival explained to Trakker News that Anderson request to be included in the Barbados showing came too late.
