Georgetown : Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), Haitian President, His Excellency Michel Martelly, will be in Guyana from March 20-22 to pay an official visit to the CARICOM Secretariat at Liliendaal and to meet with President Donald Ramotar and members of his Cabinet.
The Caricom Secretariat, in a release, said President Martelly will meet with Secretary-General of the Regional body, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque and his Executive Management team on Thursday, at the Secretariat’s headquarters as well as the secretariat’s staff.
The President will be accompanied by Mr Pierre Richard Casimir, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Mr. Wilson Laleau, Minister of Trade and Industry.
President Martelly took over the chair of Caricom on January 1, 2013 and will serve in that capacity until June 30, 2013.
