Georgetown: APNU executive member, Carl Greenidge has been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs with responsibility for international and economic cooperation, President David Granger has confirmed.
Meanwhile, former Director of Budget Winston Jordan has been confirmed as Minister of Finance. They will take up two of nine Cabinet positions to be held by APNU; the AFC will have six Cabinet positions. The appointment of Ministers will be made after they are sworn in as Members of Parliament, President Granger said.
For the President’s security detail Assistant Police Commissioner, Brian Joseph has been named to head the Presidential Guard Service.
Joseph has served as security detail for past presidents such as Forbes Burnham, Desmond Hoyte and Dr Cheddi Jagan.
