Case against hairstylist dismisssed

Bridgetown.

The case against American celebrity hairstylist Karl Jackson, was dismissed by Acting Chief Magistrate Deborah Holde,r in the District A Magistrates Court yesterday.

Jackson was facing four charges of evading liabitily but the four women involved in the case, told the court that it was a misunderstanding,

The hairstylist, was accused of dishonestly inducing Shanelle Estwick to wait for payments by falsely representing that he would pay her the sum of $300 for services she provided for models at the show.

He also faced a similar charge in relation to Jenelle Stuart in the sum of $300 and Sherri Taylor in the sum of $10,000.

 In addition, Jackson was charged that he induced the winner of the show Cherry-Ann Thorne to wait for payment by fasely representing that having registred to enter the Celebrity Hair Show  and having been announced the winner, she was entitled to be paid $10000 and he failed to pay her that money.

Before the charges were read, Wilfred Abrahams, the lawyer who represented Jackson, told the court that the complainants were not interested  in proceeding with the case.
