East Coast Demerara – The police are awaiting a post mortem report to conduct their investigations in to the death of a 22 year old mini bus conductor Mark Paneshwar.

The conductor of Agriculture Road, East Coast Demerara was found at about minutes to 7 AM today on the road at First Street, Monrepose, E.C.Dem., with a wound to his stomach.
 

 Georgetown – Minister of Home Affairs Clement Rohee says, his Ministry has prepared a draft Anti-Terrorism bill which is currently being examined for possible submission to Parliament in the not too distant future.

Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she will be making a "significant statement" during today’s sitting of the Lower House. On Persad-Bissessar’s official facebook page today she urged citizens to view today’s sitting of Parliament to hear the statement. Today is the second sitting of Parliament for the year and the second in three days. Today’s Parliament session is scheduled to start at 1.30 pm.
 

 Georgetown – In the event of any outbreak of illness in the surrounding area of Mandella dump site due to the heavy overflowing of garbage, the Ministry of Health has station a mobile unit in the area.

Medical services will be available to persons working at the site.
Ministry workers will also be advising residents of good health practices. Priority will also be given to any affected persons at the nearest Health Centre, the East La Penitence Health Centre.
 

Georgetown- In the wake of a deadly explosion at Guyana’s busiest and biggest market in the city, and the massive shake up of operations there by the authorities to clear a vast area of illegal structures and activities, vendors continue to suffer the worst. As they become displaced with each passing day, many are now contemplating their next move. They complain of being pushed around by the police who remain very vigilant in the market square. Some were provided temporary locations just behind the market, while others are still trying to settle for business.

Sports Minister Anil Roberts has claimed that the People’s National Movement (PNM) is "training its guns against" him.
Roberts made the statement today in response to claims that Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar was hiding the fact Roberts was involved in a car crash three months ago.
Roberts confirmed that he was involved in a minor crash while driving one of his Ministry’s vehicles.
He said he was driving the vehicle when he was involved in a "small accident".
