Jamaica: According to a report in The Gleaner Celine Dion is scheduled to perform for patrons at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival in January, 2012. The Canadian singer is the biggest star yet to hit the jazz stage since its inception sixteen years ago. Walter Elmore, Chairman of the Art of Music Production (AMP), said he met with Dion's team to finalise production, travel and security details, including lighting, stage and sound.
The Gleaner report said that some 38 people, the standard number for mega acts such as Dion, will travel with the singer, who will grace the stage on Friday, January 27, alongside leading jazz performer Nicole Henry and Canadian Jully Black.
