The Central Bank of Barbados has printed almost $150 million to finance the Government deficit, according to Leader of the Opposition, Owen Arthur.
Speaking to reporters a day after the Governor of the Central Bank, Dr Delisle Worrell present the Review Of The Barbados Economy For The First Nine Months of 2011, Arthur said the Central Bank had become the principal financier of the Government's deficit.
" Dr Worrell should have told the people of Barabdos that between April and September the Central Bank has become the principal financier of the deficit of the Government of Barbados and it has printed almost $150 million to finance that deficit", Arthur said.
