Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Agricultural Society James Paul has lauded the private sector for its assistance farmers.
In an interview with Trakker News, Paul single out Pinnacle Feeds for their sterling contribution to the farming community, stating that in instances where the feed company had the opportunity to buy grain in advance to strave rising cost they have done so.
He expressed the view that several farmers have to pull their weight and do whatever they can to make their operations profitable.
Paul said it was not fair for some farmers to suggest that the feed suppliers are pricing them out of business,because they depended on the agricultural sector for their existence.
