Chinese car maker Jianghual Automobile Co (JAC) is investing $500 million US to build a factory in the northeastern state of Bahia. This is the first car assembly for JAC outside of China.
The incentive to build in Brazil is the increase of taxes on imported vehicles with less than 65% content that is Brazilian or Mercoursur countries.
