Chutney singer Ravi B charged with inciting crowd

Chaguanas: Police have charged Chutney singer Ravi B with inciting a crowd to commit illicit acts.

Ravi B will appear in court Tuesday to answer the charge. Today Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard issued instructions for the singer to be charged.

It stems from an incident on February 19th at the Chutney Soca Monarch Compettion where Ravi B allegledly called on the crowd to throw missles if they were not pleased with results.

This came after Rikki Jai was crowned Chutney Soca king, taking home a purse of $1 million.

Ravi B placed second with his song "Cyar Come". After the incident, Ravi B was chastised for his behaviour and apologised. The police soon after announced that the matter was being investigated.
