Georgetown- Today the City Hall paid city workers and contractors with the understanding that the city is cleaned tomorrow from almost two weeks of stink and garbage pile up, following a strike. The disclosure was made this evening by Deputy Mayor Robert Williams. Government late last week bailed out the cash strapped City Hall with 215 million dollars. 15 million of this will be allocated for cemetry cleanup, 16 million paid to council workers and 135 million for contractors. Almost twice yearly City Hall finds itself in trouble meeting payments for council workers and contractors. This result in insanitary conditions and poses a health hazard as council workers go on strike. The Mayor in response to these failures often blame Central Government for insufficient funds to clean up the city.
