Georgetown:The top three performers of a Coaching Seminar which was sponsored by the Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) were on Sunday last awarded cash incentives in recognition of their performance by the President of the GTTA Commissioner of Police Mr. Henry Greene, DSS, at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
The presentations were made during the Para Table Tennis leg of the coaching seminar which saw the thirteen participants completing their required stint in order to successfully complete the criteria for certification.
The most outstanding coach was Mr. Theodore Demonick who was awarded a cash incentive of $20,000.00 while Mr. Colin France and Mr. Hewley Griffith tied for the runner-up position and received $10,000.00 each. The cash prizes were sponsored by the overseas-based Haynes Foundation and Secure Innovations and Concepts Inc.
The Coaching Seminar was conducted by International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Level I Course Instructor Mr. Sydney Christophe.
