Georgetown: Teachers are the driving force in developing a nation, and the Ministry of Education is seeking to establish a National Teaching Council.
However, officials from the Ministry noted that consultation has been initiated with stakeholders such as; Teaching Service Commission, Guyana Teachers Union, University of Guyana, teachers’ training college, and the Teaching Service Commission.
The Ministry is calling on all stakeholders to have an input while urging teachers to maximize their participation.
