Contracts inked for Diamond fire station and Baramita police station

 

Georgetown : Minister of Home Affairs, Clement Rohee inked two contracts for the construction of a fire station in Diamond, East Bank Demerara and a Police Station in Baramita, Region One. 

The $16M contract was signed yesterday for the station with Gharchand Sookdeo, contractor of the project.

“Signing of this contract will give the necessary momentum and impetus of the progress that is being achieved, and will be achieved by the Guyana Fire Service in the next few months,” Minister Rohee said. 
With citizens crying out for more law enforcement in the interior areas, another contract valued $13M wassigned for the construction of a police station in Baramita. Contractor, Ivor Allen is responsible for this project.
