Chief Justice Marston Gibson hinted yesterday that praedial larcenty is not being taken seriously. Adressing the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry's luncheon at the Hilton Hotel, Gibson said the practice of one person sow and other one reap is being the norm in this country
" We have to get serious, the Praedial Larceny Act could do with some updating but the most important problem we face is the enforement of it", Gibson said.
He added that the law courts only got see such cases at the tail end. Gibson urged those in attendance mainly business leaders and members of the Barbados Bar Association, to use their voices to demand enforcement of praedial larceny laws.
