Cricket clubs in Barbados are being encouraged to their facllties, speaking at a recent press briefing Deighton Smith, chief executive officer of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) said more cricket was played than ever before.
"Given the packed calender which must accommodate the regular season,the 50 over format and the T20 format weather is a challenge for cricket at all times and it is one the things we have to learn to manage as best as we can", Smith said.
"What we have to try to do is to continue to upgrade our facilities to the extent where they are not as easily affected by the weather as they have been in the past", he added.
Smith revealed that the BCA is spend more than $5million on cricket for the third straight year.
