Commisssioner of Police Darwin Dottin, says the battle crime linked to the cash for gold business is going before the Cabinet.
"It has almost reached epidemic proportions in Barbados, we are fighting a massive battle with it. I have weekly session with my senior officers about it, we are having discussions with the Ministry of Home Affairs, I believe that they are preparing to go to Cabinet soon", Dottin told Trakker News.
Dottin said the existing legislation was torally inadequate to deal with the challenges associated with the cash for gold trade.
He added agreement of the recommendations however should be form the basis of the reform of the law.
