Dave Searles of Cemetery Lane, Road View, St Peter appeared in the District "A" Magistrates' Court charged with manslaughter.
The 43 year old barber was not allow to plead to the charge that on December 5, he unlawfully killed his five months son Ethan Searles.
He was released on bail.
