Dad in police custody

Bridgetown.

The father of a five month baby boy whose body was found in the back seat of a car last Wednesday is being held in police custody.

Dave Searles was  released from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday where he was admitted following the discovery of the body of his son Ethan, strapped in the backside of his car parked next  to Diva Hair World Salon, at Villia Road, Brittons, St Michael.

At that time a police officer at the scene told the press Searles left home with his three children, two girls and a nursery baby who is five months old and inavertently forgot the baby in the back seat of the car outside his workplace.  When he did remember a few hours after, the baby was unresponsive.

Referring to the matter as very delicate, the officer added that the police were treating the death as unnatural and would be investigating further.
